Biografia
Saxophonist and composer Yvonne Moriel is one of the most exciting voices in Austria’s contemporary jazz scene. In 2024, she received the Austrian Jazz Prize, in 2026 she was received the commission to compose and play the grand opening of International Jazzfestival Saalfelden, and her powerful musical vision is attracting more and more international attention. Her quartet sweetlife is also turning heads with its distinctive blend of jazz, dub, and electronic elements. In 2022, she began her work on the project, in 2023 the quartet gave their debut at Jazzfestival Saalfelden. The project has since been touring through Europe, America and Asia, has been selected as a “New Austrian Sound of Music” act for 2025/26 and also to represent Austria at Jazzahead! 2026 in Bremen. A first EP was released in 2024, the debut album in November 2025.
